Stuffed fox, coyote bust among items ‘scrappers’ attempt to take from restaurant

Two women and a man were arrested in Des Moines Friday night when they were caught allegedly stealing a taxidermied fox, a coyote bust, a bear skin and other items from a burned-out restaurant.

A Des Moines police report alleges the three suspects, identified as Lorenzo Austin, 25, Carol Lynn Loving, 26, and Breanna Taylor Young, 20, were discovered around 11 p.m. Friday night loading items into a multicolored station wagon from a storage unit outside a Montana Mike’s restaurant.

The restaurant, at 5030 N.E. 14th St., was damaged in a fire, and is now being renovated, according to the report. A large storage unit containing restaurant décor and other items is currently located in the restaurant’s parking lot, and apparently was not locked Friday evening.  Full Article
