Spring Hill, Florida – Some bandits get no respect.
Wednesday evening a dude wearing a black ski mask, black gloves, blue jeans, a green shirt and a blue denim vest entered the Village Pizza in Spring Hill brandishing a knife and demanding money from the clerk, according to a news release from the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office.
The female clerk assumed the masked bandit was joking and told him no — twice.
It worked.
As the man left the pizzeria, he removed the ski mask and fled the scene in a small silver car — but not before one of the workers got a good look at him, the report stated.
Then a passing motorist — with good instincts — decided to follow the man he saw removing the ski mask. The motorist alerted 911, who then dispatched deputies, as he continued to trail the silver car to a Spring Hill address, according to the report.
Phillip Joseph Steinberg, 22, was in custody exactly 12 minutes after the time of the attempted robbery. Full Article
