Fleurette French, 64, found that out the hard way March 30 after being arrested on an abuse of 911 charge, according to recently released records.
An Indian River County Sheriff's deputy at 8:10 p.m. went to an address in the 2000 block of Pine Creek Boulevard in Vero Beach for a medical call.
French dialed 911 for a medical issue, along with the fact that she'd been imbibing. She "was in no obvious distress" but "was highly intoxicated."
A firefighter/medic told a deputy "French told him the real reason she called 911 was 'because she was lonely.'" French was taken to Indian River Medical Center. Full Article
