Matthew Pape faces second degree murder charges, police spokeswoman Amanda Jacinto said.
Police identified the dead man as David Witmer , 45, of Surprise.
Police were called to a bar near 6700 W. Peoria Avenue around midnight Friday, Jacinto said.
Officers learned that the two men were closed friends who were play-fighting and at one point Pape put Witmer in a hold that caused him to pass out, Jacinto said.
As Witmer fell to the ground, he hit his head and was fatally injured, Jacinto said. Full Article
