New York women killed while feeding neighbor's cats, police say

SODUS, N.Y. – A mother and her adult daughter were killed inside their neighbor's home in upstate New York where they had gone to feed his cats while he was out of town, state police said Monday.

"It's very possible they surprised or interrupted a burglary," Maj. Mark Koss told reporters outside the single-family home in the rural Wayne County town of Sodus. He said police found evidence that someone had broken into the house.

The bodies of Terri Moulton, 54, and her daughter, Stacey Moulton, 30, were found by Terri's husband, Charles, at about 4 p.m. Sunday. Charles Moulton had grown concerned and gone to look for the women when, after three hours, they had not returned home from checking on their neighbor's pets, Koss said.  Full Article
