Texas woman accused of abusing, starving 15 dogs

SAN ANTONIO – Edwina Miller, 43, was arrested Tuesday on a charge of animal cruelty to non-livestock animals.

According to her arrest warrant, a deputy with the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office went to Miller’s home in east Bexar County after receiving a tip about possible animal abuse.

Investigators said, upon arrival, they found 15 dogs chained to a fence, many of them were malnourished and had signs of abuse throughout their bodies. One dog was reportedly dead.

Miller’s son told the deputy that his mother watched the dogs for other people while his dad was in prison, according to the arrest warrant. More
