Granddaughter Faces Charges In Violent Home Invasion

PARKER, Colo. (CBS4) – A Parker man is recovering from serious injuries after being wounded in a home invasion that his granddaughter allegedly organized.

Donna Gregory, 18, along with three men, faces charges in the crime.

The incident happened on Friday night around midnight in Douglas County at a home on Lost Canyon Trail. Authorities said the four suspects broke through a security gate and then into the home of the man and his wife and then severely beat the man with a flashlight. The man had been sleeping.

Officials with the Douglas County Sheriff’s office said the three men — Dalton Evans, Timothy Jayne and Holden Verdos, all 20 — were part of a group that formed at a Denver homeless shelter and planned to break into homes. Officials said the men were recruited by Gregory. More
