Police Used Stun Gun On Vikings’ Tom Johnson Before Arrest

MINNEAPOLIS - Police say they used a stun gun on a defensive tackle for the Minnesota Vikings before arresting him for trespassing and disorderly conduct early Sunday morning, after he refused to leave a downtown Minneapolis restaurant.

Tom Johnson, 30, was taken into custody by Minneapolis Police at about 2:49 a.m. Sunday at 700 Hennepin Ave., which is the address for Seven Steakhouse. According to the police report, security repeatedly told Johnson to leave the building.

He refused to leave, resisted officers at the scene and was sprayed with a department-issued chemical irritant before being forced outside the restaurant.

The police report states Johnson continued to be uncooperative with police, and was taken to the Hennepin County Jail. More
