Student accused of attempting to rape classmate

East Rockhill - A 15-year-old Pennridge High School student is charged as an adult with crimes including attempted rape and sexual assault after he allegedly used a kitchen knife he brought to school in his boot Friday morning, Oct. 17, to threaten a 15-year-old girl and a teacher, and forced the girl into a bathroom stall at the school.

The girl said she was dragged down a hallway and forced into a boys’ bathroom stall, which Hendricks locked behind them and that Hendricks put the knife to her throat, pulled up her shirt and tried to reach down her pants, arresting officer Pennridge Regional Police Sgt. Patrick Karcher wrote in the affidavit.

When a teacher heard screaming coming from the bathroom, the teacher went into it and Hendricks came out of a stall waving the knife and threatening the teacher, police said. The teacher initially retreated, then went back in and told Hendricks to drop the knife, which Hendricks then did and put his hand behind his back, police said. More
