HOUSTON – Two women who were arrested and charged with felony child endangerment after a toddler suffered acute alcohol poisoning have pleaded guilty.
The incident was reported on February 8, 2014 at an apartment located in the 7200 block of TC Jester.
The child’s paternal grandmother said after the 17-year-old mother Shadreon Jefferson (picture) and her friend Shamara Batiste dropped the baby off at her apartment, the child could not stand and began to vomit. The grandmother called 911.
The baby was taken to the hospital and found to have a blood alcohol content of 0.268 — more than three times the legal limit for adults. More
