Drunk teacher killed grandmother in crash

Arizona – A tanked teacher committed murder when she ignored a red light and slammed into another car, killing a 66-year-old grandmother, Arizona prosecutors said.

Erica Flynn’s (picture) car was going 75 mph, and she had triple the legal limit of booze in her system at the time of the deadly crash, authorities said.

“This was a completely avoidable traffic incident that happened,” Chandler police Detective Seth Tyler told Fox 10 Phoenix. “And it happened because one individual decided to consume an exorbitant amount of alcohol and made the selfish decision to get in her car and drive.”

Flynn, a 30-year-old elementary school teacher, blew past the stop light about 10:30 p.m. on Dec. 27 and slammed into Kathleen Searcy as the older woman was turning left with a green light, authorities said. More
