Police Hunt For Man Who Fired Shots At Brawl At Resorts World Casino

NEW YORK – Police are searching for the man who they believe fired shots in the parking lot of the Resorts World Casino, shortly after a massive brawl broke out inside Friday night.

After the chaos spilled out to the parking lot, one person captured dashcam video that appeared to show a man pulling out a gun and shooting, CBS2’s Dave Carlin reported.

The NYPD said it used a combination of surveillance video, a license plate reader, vehicle registration information, driver’s license photos and facial recognition software before identifying the suspect as Jaquan Roberts, 22.

He is described as black, 6 feet tall and about 180 pounds. He was arrested in 2010 for possession of a loaded .22-caliber revolver after he shot himself in the leg, police said.

In video of the melee, taken around 10:30 p.m. Friday, people are seen hurling chairs across the casino’s food court and throwing punches as innocent bystanders try to run for cover. More
