Couple forced sunburned foster kids to stay out in sun

Florida – Two Alabama foster parents were arrested during their vacation at a Florida hotel when the staff alerted police they were ignoring their sunburned children’s pleas to get out of the sun.

Mounir El-Rhazouani, 31, and Rebecca El-Rhazouani, 32, of Phenix City, were charged with two counts of child neglect after officers were called to the Hawaiian Inn in Daytona Shores, Fla., Thursday.

“The child wanted to get out of the sun so bad that it was literally running to that door over there, screaming, trying to get into the door and the father would not take the child inside,” a hotel employee said.

The children appeared to be sunburned and dehydrated and had asked to go inside multiple times, the staff reported to police. More
