COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, Ohio – A 22-year-old mother is accused of punching her newborn son in the head and breaking his tiny skull because his cries kept her from sleeping.
Colerain Township police wrote in a sworn statement that Peek Gaddis “admitted to becoming frustrated with her son, who is approximately four weeks of age…because he was crying and making it difficult for her to sleep.”
“Ms. Gaddis admitted to striking her son several times with her fist,” read the statement filed in the Hamilton County Municipal Court.
The baby suffered serious physical harm and several bone fractures in the Wednesday attack at a residence in the 1200 block of Birchgrove Court. More
