Beggar chokes man unconscious in Central Park


New York – A violent beggar (sketch) choked and robbed a man Thursday night in Central Park when his requests for money were denied, authorities said.

The panhandler approached the 53-year-old victim as he was strolling through the Rambles near Transverse Road Number Two and West Drive around 10 p.m.? Thursday and asked, “I am hungry, do you have any money?” according to cops.

The victim said he didn’t have any cash to spare and started to walk away, but the vagrant walked up behind him and locked him in a choke hold until he passed out, police said. More
