College football player shot dead by cop during burglary call


Texas – A college football player who expected to earn a starting job this upcoming season was shot and killed by a police officer during a struggle at a Dallas-area car dealership after midnight Friday.

Christian Taylor, a 19-year-old sophomore defensive back at Angelo State University in San Angelo, Tex., allegedly drove an SUV through the showroom glass doors at Classic Buick GMC in Arlington, the Dallas Morning News reported.

Arlington Police responded to a reported burglary in progress at 1 a.m. and found Taylor inside.

The unarmed black teen was shot after a scuffle by 49-year-old Officer Brad Miller. More
