Chimene Onyeri, 28, was detained in Austin on Monday on suspicion of a recent theft in Louisiana.
Police also believe he played a role in the shooting of State District Judge Julie Kocurek, who suffered an 'extremely serious injury' when she was shot in the driveway of her Austin home on Friday night.
Onyeri was in the process of being prosecuted by Kocurek in a fraud case from 2012. More
