Girls, 12 and 5, start high-speed police chase after taking grandmother’s car for joyride

CONROE, Texas - What was once believed to be a case of a stolen car and a kidnapping in Montgomery County turned out to be two young girls taking their grandmother’s car for a joy ride, according to police.

Police said when a Conroe Police Department officer spotted the car around 5:30 p.m. in the 12000 block of West Davis, the 12-year-old did not pull over, starting an 11-mile chase with her 5-year-old sister in the vehicle.

KPRC 2 has obtained the dash cam video of the police pursuit.

In the video, the girl drives on the wrong side of the road, the shoulder on the wrong side of the road and barely squeezes between two vehicles stopped in a lane of traffic on the other side. More Video
