Drunk drives down bike trail, hits woman

Kentucky – A former Lexington police officer was charged with assault and driving under the influence after a pedestrian was struck and seriously injured on Lexington’s Legacy Trail bicycle path. Keith M. Todd, 42, is charged with hitting Penelope R. Bentley, who was taken to University of Kentucky Hospital. Bentley underwent surgery and was listed in serious condition. The trail is designed for bicyclists, joggers and walkers, not motorized vehicles.  Full Article
