Man on the run for 28 years caught robbing bank

Portland, Oregon – Steven Lee Wright’s 28 years, 5 months and one week on the run ended when he was arrested after robbing a Portland bank. Wright, who just turned 60, not only confessed to robbing the bank but admitted he was a fugitive wanted out of Michigan. An arrest warrant was issued for Wright on Oct. 5, 1983 after he skipped out on parole. Prior to that, he served time for convictions including felony armed robbery and breaking and entering. Wright said he hit the Portland bank because he had run out of money. Full Article
