Woman finds grandpa's fishing poles too alluring

FORT WALTON BEACH - Lawmen say a woman stole $2,000 worth of fishing poles from her grandfather and charged her with grand theft.

A neighbor told Fort Walton Beach Police that on March 30 he was working in his front yard when he noticed 30-year-old Rebekah Nicole Forakis and a male companion drive by her grandfather’s house on Wisteria Court. They parked at the end of the street. The neighbor said he went back to doing yardwork, and later heard a loud “bang,” which he thought was Forakis’ grandfather’s garage door being closed. The car Forakis had been driving came down the street – this time the male was driving – and several fishing poles hung out the window. The neighbor said he saw Forakis duck out of view as the car passed by.  Full Article
