Florida – Detectives are investigating an inmate homicide at the Pinellas County Jail.
Deputies, who were alerted by a the call of a man, then found an inmate, identified as 48-year-old Kelly Damon Harding, unconscious on the floor of his cell.
Harding was later declared dead at a hospital, according to a news release from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.
What caused the inmate’s death? Toilet paper.
An ER doc found wet toilet paper shoved down Harding’s throat and his injuries were consistent with strangulation, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Detectives determined that Harding’s cellmate, 28-year-old Scott Alexander Greenberg (picture), had allegedly murdered him, based on interviews and statements Greenberg made to other inmates. Full Article
