Third set of human remains found at Carson water treatment plant

California - A third set of human remains, all apparently belonging to the same woman, was found Thursday morning at a water treatment plant in Carson.

A pelvis and legs were first found this month at the Joint Water Pollution Control Plant in the 24500 block of South Figueroa Street in Carson. They were recovered from a bin that separates solid materials and debris from liquid, authorities said.

Officials with the Los Angeles County Coroner's office said the upper torso of what authorities believe is the same woman was found 30 miles away at the San Jose Creek Water Reclamation Plant on Workman Mill Road in unincorporated Bassett near Whittier.  More
