Drug-addict couple arrested after ‘living in squalor with boy, 3, who cannot speak and girl, 1, who was born in a bathtub

Florida – A drug-addict couple found living with a three-year-old boy who couldn’t speak and a girl who was never registered as being born have been arrested for child neglect.

Gwynevere Merkau, 31, and Daniel Brajon, 26, from Palm Springs, Florida, were found living in a condo covered with bird feces and with drug paraphernalia on display on Wednesday.

Officers said they found the couple living with a one-year-old girl who was never registered as being born because Merkau gave birth to her in the bathtub and never took her to hospital.

Also at the home was a three-year-old boy who grunts when he wants food or water because he has never been taught to speak, police said. More
