Kissimmee man beats elderly woman, yells, 'I defeated the devil,' witnesses say

KISSIMMEE, Fla. — Channel 9 has learned a 19-year-old in Kissimmee beat an elderly woman because he thought she was the devil, authorities said.

Deputies said the alleged attack happened shortly before 5 a.m. Thursday at a home on Orne Court.

Deputies said Scott Pierre tried to kick open the door, then broke through the window, which set off an alarm at the home.

Neighbor Barbara Shider said she heard the alarm and woke up.  More
