Robbery Charges Dropped Against DeAndre Brown; Pittsburgh Police Reportedly Weren’t Interested In Hearing About Alibi At Preliminary Hearing

An innocent man spent a month in jail for a crime he didn’t commit, and apparently he had an alibi that police didn’t want to hear about at a preliminary hearing.

The armed robbery charges against DeAndre Brown were dropped on Friday after a surveillance video proved he wasn’t at the scene of the crime when the incident took place.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that the 26-year-old Brown works as a security guard at the Carnegie Library branch in Homewood, Pa., and he told police he could not have committed the crime because he was at a training session at the Oakland branch at the time of the robbery, which took place at a bakery on Sept. 10.  More
