Task force seeks serial bank robber, ‘Cyborg Bandit’

The Seattle Safe Streets Task Force wants the public’s help in tracking down a serial bank robber dubbed the “Cyborg Bandit.”

He is believed to have robbed at least four King County banks in the past two months.

The man is described as white, between 5-feet-9 and 6-feet tall with a thin build. He covered his face during the heists with a “distinctive cloth” and pulled the hood of his sweatshirt over his head, according to an FBI statement.

He wore clear, latex gloves, as well.

The man is tied to a Sept. 24 robbery at a Bellevue Key Bank, an Oct. 2 incident at the Woodinville Banner Bank, an Oct. 18 heist at the U.S. Bank in Shoreline and an Oct. 23 robbery at the Bothell Whidbey Island Bank.  More
