Burglary suspect found sleeping on victim’s couch

MOUNT DORA, Florida – Police in Florida said an alleged burglary spree ended when the suspect fell asleep clutching a kitchen knife on a woman’s couch.

Investigators said Duane Immich, 26, allegedly burglarized several businesses before he broke into Judith Smolinski’s home in Mount Dora and fell asleep on her couch while holding one of her kitchen knives, WFTV, Orlando, Fla., reported Wednesday.

I was in my kitchen going to make coffee and I heard snoring,” Smolinski said.

“I walked in the living room and there was a strange man on my couch curled up, covered up with my blanket.” Full Article
