Suspect Sought In Theft Of Revere Firefighter’s Wallet During 2-Alarm Fire

REVERE (CBS) – Police are looking for a brazen female thief who wandered into a Revere fire station and lifted the wallet left behind by one of the city’s firefighters who was out battling a blaze.

According to police, the woman was captured on surveillance video walking around the station with two children July 7 after firefighters at the Revere Central Fire Station on Broadway had responded to a two-alarm fire in a building on Revere Beach.

The firefighter whose wallet was stolen, Jamie Nadworny, was stunned. He told WBZ-TV’s Jim Smith he had just come back from a fire soaking wet and put his wallet down on a window sill when his company rushed out to another two-alarm fire down the street.

“It’s sad,” Nadworny said. “I feel really bad for the kids to be honest with you. That’s really sad.” More
