Pasco County officials arrested Amanda Jo Hammon Thursday after she allegedly stole $1,700 worth of goods by stuffing the contraband in her 3-year-old daughter’s pink backpack and then making the tot walk out of the store.
The string of thefts earlier this month all happened at the same Walmart, WFTS reported.
The 30-year-old had taught at Wesley Chapel’s John Long Middle School for about 10 years before she abruptly resigned Wednesday with a short handwritten letter. More
