Third child dies after alleged attack by Florida mom

The 5-month-old son of Florida woman Jessica McCarty died Sunday, two days after McCarty allegedly killed her other two children in a horrifying attack that still has police baffled.

McCarty was arrested outside her Palm Bay home Friday night after police responded to what was initially reported as a stabbing.

Police now say that McCarty choked 5-month-old Christopher Swist and 6-year-old Philip McCarty, and drowned and strangled 7-year-old Laci McCarty, Florida Today reported. None of the children was stabbed.

Laci died soon after the attack on Friday, and Philip died hours later on the way to an Orlando hospital.

Christopher remained on life support until succumbing to his injuries.  More
