Old dog fends off invader breaking into family’s home

Michigan - Sadie, an 11-year-old golden retriever, attacked a homeless man who broke into her family’s Wyandotte house Tuesday, saving her owner and everything else in the home, WXYZ reported.

Owner Sarah Powers said she was in the bathroom when 58-year-old John David Shook (picture) walked into her house.

“When I came out of the bathroom there was a man standing there and he is physically punching my dog but she would not back down at all,” she told the TV station.

Sadie, who is usually sweet and docile, had her front paws on Shook as she barked and snarled at him, Powers said. More
