Former Mets outfielder Darryl Hamilton dead in Houston-area murder suicide


Texas – Darryl Hamilton, who spent his final seasons in baseball patrolling the outfield at Shea Stadium for the Mets, was killed Sunday in a Houston-area murder-suicide.

Hamilton, 50, was found dead inside a Pearland, Texas, home on Sunday along with Monica Jordan in what police told the Houston Chronicle looks like a murder-suicide.

According to a report by the Pearland police, investigators confirmed that the bodies found at a residence in the 11500 block of Island Breeze Street were Hamilton and Jordan.

After responding to a 911 call on Sunday afternoon at about 4:45 p.m., officers said they “located the body of a deceased male near the main entry to the home. A female, also deceased, was located in another area of the home. More
