Wannabe terrorist lunged at federal agents with a “large kitchen knife”

New York – A Staten Island man wanted in connection with the ISIS wannabe from Queens charged with plotting to bomb New York City was arrested Wednesday after lunging at federal agents with a “large kitchen knife,” authorities said.

Fareed Mumuni, 21, attacked members of the Joint Terrorism Task Force about 6:35 a.m. after they burst inside his Mersereau St. home and ordered him to move to a living room couch, prosecutors said.

“Mumuni ignored the officers’ commands and instead suddenly lunged at the officers with a large kitchen knife,” the complaint says.

Mumuni later confessed to pledging allegiance to ISIS — and discussing with fellow terror plotter Munther Omar Saleh, 20, how to construct a pressure cooker bomb, according to court documents. More
