Adam Stafford was sleeping when Magan Farquhar (picture), 19, scalded him with a hot kettle. Liverpool Crown Court heard how he woke up in “excruciating pain” and his stomach was left covered in blisters, reports the Echo.
Farquhar, of Guildhall Road, Orrell Park, and Mr Stafford had been in a “turbulent”relationship for more than two years.
Charles Lander, prosecuting, said they split up in August last year after Farquhar caused damage to his mother’s house. Magistrates handed the teenager a 12-month conditional discharge for criminal damage for that offence. More
