The mom-turned-babysitter tethered her own 4-year-old son to a bush outside the condo she was working in, restraining the child with a 4-foot long leash, police said.
Mery Isabel Quinde-Castro, 22, was charged with child endangerment Tuesday after concerned neighbors noticed the bad parenting and called cops, the Journal News reported.
The child was wearing a monkey backpack, which was knotted to the bush, Spring Valley Police Chief Paul Modica said. More
