Homeless mom who got help from charitable police officer is arrested on federal meth charges

Kansas City – The homeless mom who got help from a Kansas City-area cop when she tried to steal from Walmart for her kids has been arrested on federal methamphetamine charges.

U.S. Marshals collared Sarah Jane Robinson, 34, on Friday after a grand jury indicted her for “knowingly and intentionally possessing methamphetamine with the intent to distribute it,” The Kansas City Star reported.

Officials in the Wyandotte County Sheriff’s Department confirmed Robinson was the same woman who was apparently caught trying to take $300 worth of diapers, wipes and shoes from a Roeland Park, Kan., Walmart last month, according to KSHB-TV.

Roeland Park police officer Mark Engravalle cited her, but he also bought the widow and mother of six the supplies out of his own pocket instead of cuffing her. More
