Burned body found bound, dumped along Massachusetts railroad tracks identified as New Jersey woman

Massachusetts - A body found bound and burned beside a Massachusetts railroad track last week has been identified as that of a 29-year-old New Jersey woman.

First responders realized Ashley Bortner’s hands and feet were tied behind her back after putting out the fire in Bridgewater, Plymouth District Attorney J. Cruz revealed Wednesday.

A 911 caller first alerted local police to the body’s location because of a suspicious vehicle parked along the tracks just before midnight on Nov. 3.  More
