Grandmother offered 'hitman' $1,500 to kill the mother of her grandson

Alabama - An Alabama grandmother hired a hitman to kill the mother of her grandson following a custody battle, say police.

Sandra Hill Treadway, 54, is accused of paying undercover cops $1,500 to kill the woman, who had broken up with her son.

Authorities learned last month that Treadway was allegedly seeking a hitman as she sought to take custody of the 4-year-old boy.  More
