Two Louisiana city marshals are charged with shooting dead a six-year-old autistic boy


Louisiana - Two Louisiana city marshals have been charged with murdering after shooting dead a six-year-old autistic boy as he sat in a car with his father.

Col. Mike Edmonson, in a late night press conference Friday, said the two officers were being booked on charges of second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder in the shooting death of Jeremy Mardis and the wounding of his father, Chris Few, in the central Louisiana town of Marksville.

Norris Greenhouse Jr., 23, a reserve officer, and Lt. Derrick Stafford, 32, were arrested Friday night by the Louisiana State Police.   More
