She was right in front him but he never stopped


New York – A city bus driver mowed down a 75-year-old woman using a walker as she crossed a Brooklyn street Tuesday — crushing her under 30,000 pounds of steel, officials and horrified witnesses said.

Surveillance video shows that the slow-moving woman was in the driver’s line of sight for several seconds before he hit her.

Carol Bell — described by friends as a “woman with a heart of gold” — was crossing Fulton St. near Sackman St. in Ocean Hill at 6:15 a.m. when the B15 bus, driven by Paul Roper, hit her head-on as the bus made a turn. More
