Japanese schoolgirl who disappeared two years ago escapes from kidnapper’s Tokyo flat

A 15-year-old Japanese girl who disappeared two years ago has been found, claiming she had been kidnapped and held captive by a 23-year-old man and escaped when he forgot to lock the door.

The teen, understood to be Ana Saito, was found in downtown Tokyo on Sunday after alleged kidnapper Kabu Terauchi (picture) left her unattended long enough for her to escape and call police from a payphone.

The teenager told police she was abducted by Terauchi on her way home from school in Asaka, Saitama Prefecture, in March 2014, and that he had kept her prisoner ever since. More
