Woman pleads guilty in butt-implants case

A woman arrested at a D.C. hotel last year has pleaded guilty to providing illegal silicone implants to women who wanted to enlarge their buttocks.

Kimberly Smedley, 45, pleaded guilty Wednesday in federal court in Baltimore to introducing a misbranded device into interstate commerce.

The Georgia resident admitted that she administered silicone injections to women in hotel rooms in the District, Baltimore and other cities between 2003 and 2011. During that time, she was paid a total of more than $200,000 for the injections, according to her plea agreement.  Full Article
