Man hitches ride, takes car for spin, wrecks it

NICEVILLE - A man who'd been given a ride decided to take the car for a spin while while his benefactors shopped. He ended up wrecking the car and damaging three others.

On July 14 Niceville Police were called to Palm Plaza. There, they found the wrecked cars, one of which had apparently been traveling through the parking lot at a high rate of speed. The driver failed to negotiate a turn and struck two parked vehicles. The driver then continued to drive on two flats and careened into another vehicle.

The man didn't have a valid driver's license and was cited for that along with careless driving.

The folks who had given the man a ride said they were going to Food Depot and Radio Shack to do some shopping. They saw the man and decided to give him a ride.  More
