German man suspected of blowing up daughter's boyfriend

BERLIN – Police in the German city of Cologne say they have arrested a 52-year-old man on suspicion of blowing up his daughter's boyfriend.

Prosecutors said Tuesday that the suspect appeared to have forced his way into the victim's apartment late Monday and poured gasoline on the floor.

The gasoline evaporated causing a powerful explosion that hurled the 17-year-old from a fourth-floor window. He died at the scene.  More
