Trouble smelled in Vero Beach perfume, chewing tobacco spat?

The conflict appeared to reach a breaking point after he dumped out her new bottle of perfume and she did the same to his can of chewing tobacco.

In the end, no one apparently went to jail, despite reports of an attempted "bum rush" and a stabbing, according to statements in a recently released Indian River County Sheriff's Office report.

Deputies July 23 went to an address on Second Street Southwest in Vero Beach where a 28-year-old woman said that she and the father of her children got in a verbal disturbance. The disturbance, she said, turned physical.

"(She) stated that (he) dumped out her new bottle of perfume, so she dumped out his can of chewing tobacco," the report states.

The chewing tobacco dumper-outer said that the father of her children slammed her to the ground and tried to "bum rush" her.

The chewing tobacco dumper-outer said she grabbed the first thing she could for protection, picking up a pocket knife and stabbing him in the back.

The report didn't explain the term "bum rush," though an online Urban Dictionary entry gives this definition, "To run full speed into somebody and body slam them into a brick wall, chain link fence, or similar immovable object."  More
