The body of Tina Helms Spencer was found Saturday. Phoenix television station KNXV reports that her son has been booked into juvenile detention on charges including first-degree murder, aggravated assault and tampering with evidence.
KSAZ-TV reports the 16-year-old decided to kill his mom after they had an argument when she took away his cell phone. Mesa authorities told KSAZ that they believe a hammer and frying pan were used in the death of Spencer. More
