She is being identified by authorities as Sarah Vercauteren, of Export.
The FBI is assisting Versailles Police. It was, according to police, the second robbery attempt of the day for her.
On Tuesday afternoon, while most people stayed out of the weather, police say she first put a note on the counter at the Olympia Park Subway restaurant demanding all the $20s in the register and claiming to have a gun. She was told the clerk couldn’t open the register.
Investigators say she left her 2-year-old in the unoccupied vehicle in sub-zero weather conditions to commit robbery. More
