Family Dollar locations ban hoods inside store



ST. LOUIS, Missouri – After a recent rash of crime, some St. Louis area Family Dollar stores have a new sign requiring customers to remove their hoods before entering the shops.

Typed on a piece of paper, the sign reads, “All Customers: Please remove hoods before entering Family Dollar.” Some customers told News 4′s Jasmine Huda they understood the reasoning behind the sign.

Within the past few weeks, a clerk at the Family Dollar on South Jefferson was held at gunpoint during an alleged robbery.
