Man gets 33 years in prison for fatally beating 3-year-old who swore while playing video game


A Chicago-area man who savagely beat his girlfriend's toddler son to death after he cursed at a video game was sentenced Friday to 33 years in prison — to the anger of the dead tot's family, who'd demanded a life term.

Thomas Albea repeatedly punched defenseless 3-year-old X'Zavion Charleston in the stomach after he swore while playing Mortal Kombat, reports the Chicago Tribune.

The youngster was hit so hard in the brutal Sept. 14, 2011, attack at his own Waukegan home that some of his internal organs ruptured.
